I first photographed Declan when he was in his Mama's belly, then when he was merely 2 weeks old, and again at six months. His parents have wanted me to capture him at each of these adorable phases in mini sessions. We spend about half an hour together, Declan wiggles and giggles and I shoot and chuckle with him. He is just a lovely baby and it has been wonderful to watch him grow. He will have his first birthday on July 8th. I am looking forward to our next session and to see him walking...

In the Water
As I stood looking over the dock edge, a sailor approached me and asked what I was looking at. I looked down at the water, then back at him and smiled. He looked again and then back at me with a puzzled look. "The reflections." I said "Don't you see them." He said he though I was looking for fish. I am always amazed how differently people see. I was mesmerised by the movement of the reflections, the incredible patterns created by the flags, the hulls and the brightly coloured sail bags and he was looking for a fish. The Newport to Bermuda Race was last week and there were over 80 yachts docked at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club with the overflow across the harbour at the Dinghy Club. I spent hours there, shooting and enjoying the wonderful sound of the flags flapping and the hulls splashing. Here are a few of my favourite images...

Katie & Paul: Bermuda Wedding
Paul is an officer and a gentleman - the way he gently offered his arm to escort his new wife up the aisle was oh so gallant. And Katie's sweet smile back at him was just beautiful. These two were lovely together, exchanging soft whispers, laughter and gleeful gazes. Following their ceremony at St Michael's Church, the newly weds were taken by horse and carriage to Coral Beach for family photographs. Although a short journey, this does give the couple a few moments to be alone, a little quiet escape from the frenzy of all the festivities. After a few shots on the beach, we headed back to Katie's aunt and uncle's home for the reception. I have known Maribeth and Alec for years as we worked on an ATP tennis event together. Their house and garden were absolutely beautiful and all the details were gorgeous.
Thank you Katie and Paul for the honour of capturing your wedding, it was a pleasure...
