Alyson & Chris: Bermuda Wedding

Alyson and Chris first met and fell in love in New York. But with Chris travelling to Bermuda every week for work, they moved their home base to the island. They decided that Bermuda would not only be a beautiful place to get married, but also be a great opportunity for their family and friends to visit their new home.
The entire celebration had been planned outdoors, but with ominous weather threatening, they decided it would be wise to hold the reception indoors. They kept the ceremony on the beach at Tucker's Point, had cocktails by the beach club pool then all moved up to the golf club for dinner.
Your wedding was just beautiful, thank you for the honour of capturing your special day...

Alyson's Pnina Tornai dress was so delicate and feminine and was perfectly accompanied by these exquisite Louboutin shoes.

Alyson's flower girls - her niece Ashlyn and Chris's daughter Mia filled the part perfectly and ended up stealing the show at the reception with their incredible dancing!

Chris's ring is by Swiss jeweller Furrer Jacot and Alyson's rings are Harry Winston.

Mandy's Bump

Sophie Charlotte arrived on September 6th. Mandy and Phil wanted a few photos of her while still in Mandy's belly, so they came to my cottage for a mini session. The light on my gravel driveway is beautifully soft in the afternoons and the vine covered old walls provide a lovely mottled background. In Hurricane Igor a lot of Spanish moss fell from a pine tree, so I have relocated it to hang over the drive. By the time we do their mini session with little Sophie it will hopefully have taken off and look like the entrance to some deserted house in the deep South.
Thank you for a lovely session and I can't wait to meet Sophie...

Aiden was a hoot - he was so animated and though not happy to look at the camera, was having a grand time with his jumbo jet.

The Voth Family

The driveway at Southlands is one of my favourite spots in Bermuda. Each time I am there, I am mesmerised by the banyon tree - it is just amazing to me that the whole forest is one tree! One tree - can you believe it? The dappled light, the intricate root system, the leaf covered drive - all just magical. With the end of summer here Joanne and Dan wanted some family portraits with their children Tobin, Rachel and Riley before Tobin headed off the island on a teaching vessel called Logos Hope. The voyage began in the Canary Islands and they are now heading into the Mediterranean. I am sure it will be an amazing adventure. Thank you all for a great shoot...
