Blog Neglect...
Please forgive me! I have not blogged in far too long... I have been working on a massive project for a law firm, taking over 100 portraits for them. My last day shooting was Friday and I am hoping to finish the editing tomorrow. So after that I have some goodies to post. That gloriously sunny weekend we had - well I shot weddings, so I will post them in a few days...

Cortney & Chris - Engaged!
They met at Duke - then Chris took a few semesters off - then, happily he returned so they were in their final semester together. "Through some very careful orchestrating on my side (and I found out later on his as well) we ran into one another one weekend and have been together ever since."
In October 08, they went to Europe. Italy had been one idea, but Chris was leaning towards London and Paris as he wanted to propose. The morning of their departure, Chris asked Cortney's father for his blessing. He was speechless, but did grant Chris permission to pop the question. So atop the Eiffel Tower, Chris proposed - and well, clearly she accepted, and was over the moon.
These two are just adorable together, and lucky for me, extremely easy going, and not afraid of getting wet! The weather was ridiculous - with a torrential shower, followed by a magnificent rainbow, then a cloudless sky - for five minutes. Then another shower, more rainbows, more blue sky. Thank you both so much for a wonderful session. Just four weeks until the wedding - I can't wait - and I'm sure you can't either...

Baby Madison
Madison arrived a couple of weeks ago - she is just an adorable bundle of love - but a wiggly bundle. I do like to try to shoot newborns while they sleep as they seem so peaceful. We waited for almost two hours for Madison to sleep, but she was really not having any of it. So here are my favourite squirmy ones - and two I managed to get during the four minutes she slept... thank you Allison and Mike for your patience with both Madison - and with me...

Frolicking in the Fresias: Bermuda Portraits
My best friend Margo has a lovely patch of fresias in her garden, so despite the nasty weather, we decided to brave the elements and capture a few images in the fleeting flowers. There is nothing quite like their delicate scent and soft changing hues. It was a quick one though as neither Lily or Amelie wanted to sit still - with Lily running around the whole garden and Amelie walking, it was quite a challenge...

How do I get any work done?
Enzo likes to watch me work - and when he wants to play he sits up, leans towards my face and we press out foreheads together. It is just divine! Then we nuzzle for a bit, he lies back down and then he'll attack. At least he lets me know... I can wrap my hand in my sleeve or grab a pencil for him to swat...

Priscillia's Bump
I first photographed Alex and Priscillia at their wedding on the beach. And then we did a shoot when their son Theo was about six months old. He had the most amazing greenish eyes that were a stunning combination with his splendid red hair. And this time, with their second child due in a month, Priscillia wanted to capture her beautiful belly. We met at their cottage by the sea on a lovely sunny morning. Thank you all for a great mini session - and I cant wait to meet the new bundle of love in a few weeks...
