Jaclyn & Doug are Engaged!

Jaclyn and Doug are high school sweethearts. They met when they were sixteen and have been together since. This November it will be seven years. On Valentine's Day, Doug took Jaclyn to the restaurant where they had their first date, but this time he proposed. She accepted of course and the two are now planning a 2013 wedding. I had suggested they bring something to the shoot that was meaningful to them. They each brought a letter they had written to each other many years ago. It was lovely to watch them read the letters and each listen again to the words they must cherished. I could not really hear them, but the warmth in their smiles spoke volumes. They also brought a little ring box that a friend had given Jaclyn after their engagement, inside the little frog was inscribed "Your Prince has arrived." Thank you both for such a fun shoot - it truly was a pleasure...
