Helen and Ben's Bermuda Wedding

Ben sat on the edge of the bed, he carefully opened the envelope and took out the card. His suit was perfectly pressed, his shoes shined and he was ready. The note was a beautifully penned love letter from Helen. I listened as he read and as Ben smiled, so did I. Helen and Ben absolutely adore each other and I knew that her beautiful sentiments would be shown in their every gesture, knowing look and tender kiss. Thank you both for the honour of capturing your wedding, it was truly a wonderful day!

"Well my dress was truly a labor of love on my mother's part...she flew up to Boston with me for the day to pick one...We thought we had found the perfect dress and returned to Bermuda all smiles. But a few weeks later I developed a case of 'lace envy' after too much Pinteresting, so my Mum painstakingly cut out about 18 yards of lace for the bottom of my tulle dress. We took it to a tailor to have it sewed on and I think my Mum ended up coming to over six dress fittings with me. The lady is the Patron Saint of Patience!

Helen had lovely gifts for her parents and her bridesmaids - and even me! It was wonderful to see both of her parents so happy - happy tears are the best!

"My favourite part of the day was the speeches. My father spoke, then Ben, followed by Ben's brother Adam and, finally, Ben's mother. Each speech was so different (Adam's was hilarious) and it was a real reminder of what the day was all about.
The details were fun to plan - from the 'Mint to Be' favours to the cat cake topper to the country songs for our first dances. One of the highlights from the day was having Kassie Caines sing at our ceremony - her voice was so incredible and really added to the emotion of the day. Also our reception band, the Kennel Boys, absolutely blew everyone away....they had everyone on the dance floor all night long!
It was such a lovely day/night...having Ben's family fly in from Australia was really special...we don't often get to see each other as they live right across the world from us."
