Paula & Chris: Bermuda Wedding

With one hurdle after another, they were an hour late to their own wedding. Luckily they were a small group and all arrived together. The light was quickly fading so it was quite a mad rush to be sure to capture as many photos as possible before dark. I received this email from Paula and it sums up the day perfectly...
"I am grateful to you, not only for your skill, but your attitude during what could have been a disastrous outcome to a rocky and late beginning. Your calm demeanor, your pleasant and enthusiastic smile and the cheerful, professional way we ran through our photos are a fun memory I will cherish. You made me laugh and I remember feeling so calmed and at ease because even though we had just a few minutes of good light, I felt your confidence and determination to get the best possible shots and that made all the difference in the world to me. I am so glad I chose you to capture the essence of our wedding day. As I shared with you, if I had a different attitude eight years ago, I would not have a happy, healthy, beautiful son. Attitude can move mountains and your attitude was powerfully brilliant. Thank you!"

Paula too has an amazing attitude and shared her story... She and Chris grew up in the same town and went to the same high school, but they did not meet until they were well into their 30s. In 2003 Chris hired Paula to be his assistant, but he promptly fired her so he could date her. They had talked about marriage, but in 2005 doctors told Paula that she would not be able to have children. Although Chris had a son, and Paula felt blessed to be a part of Jonathan's life, she was not willing to accept a doctor's version of her fate. She started to tell herself that she was going to have a happy, healthy, beautiful baby. Three months later she was pregnant. Now she says that she is so grateful to have a happy, healthy, beautiful son. Their wedding plans were postponed, but they knew they wanted to get married on a beach. And now, finally, eight years later, they had their perfect wedding. With both of their sons by their side. Thank you both for the honour of capturing your love and your happy, healthy, beautiful family.
