"Our story began one weekend in November 2011, when we first met at a dinner party in New York, hosted by Shilpa's sister, Shruti. Certain we'd enjoy each other's company, Shruti had told each of us about the other for some time, but we had not met as Shilpa lived in California and I was in New York. We had an immediate connection, and most of the time that weekend was spent talking and getting to know each other. Three weeks later, I told a fib and informed Shilpa that I'd be in California to visit a friend. Since my Friday night was "free", I asked Shilpa to dinner. Remarkably, all of Saturday and Sunday were "free" as well. By the end of the weekend, it was evident that there were no plans other than those to see Shilpa. This was the first of many California weekends for us for the next 6 months."
Thank you both for a truly wonderful weekend! Shilpa, your effervescent joy is infectious, and Lars your calm demeanour was divine; it was an absolute pleasure to photograph your celebrations.
With family coming from all over the world, Bermuda was the perfect destination, as it is right in the middle. Lars and Shilpa chose
1609 at the
Hamilton Princess for their rehearsal dinner and
Tucker's Point for the wedding (on the blog tomorrow). With Hurricane Joaquin approaching, they were lucky to have a lovely evening and dine outside for their rehearsal.
