Sparkle and Sand

I first photographed Mirelle in 2010. She had been living on the island for years, but was moving back to Scotland and wanted to do a shoot with all her friends. She met Jonathan in Scotland who is originally from Bermuda. This was their first trip back to Bermuda with their son Cameron. Mirelle knew he would not have the attention span for a long shoot so thought it would be fun to do a Lumiere shoot first. It was wonderful to combine the two, Mirelle and I had fun with sparkle and then joined the boys at the beach. Thank you all for a fun shoot!

In Celebration of Women

To celebrate International Women's Day I thought I'd offer a 10% discount off all Lumiere sessions booked in March. It has been an honour to photograph such a wonderful collection of amazing, strong, beautiful, creative, inspiring women over the past few years. I am particularly fond of these portrait sessions as it is a chance for women to be free, to have fun and for us to create wonderful imagery together.

"Enchanted by the natural beauty of the Bermudian island I choose to celebrate life with a photo shoot.  I was intrigued by her sense of the world and her view of finding pure joy in the natural imperfections of life. I wanted to create an image of myself in this natural raw state of splendor thus becoming a part of the world. Imagery is so powerful and it is interesting and fun to view and create ourselves in the world we live in! Having gone through a total hip replacement three years ago I was even more delighted to be on the island for a barre retreat at the newly opened exhale spa. Every part of the experience is growth.  We can go where we want, we can be who we want we can live how we wish, if we are brave and find the possibilities."

Claire's Lumiere Portraits

Claire graduated from Warwick Academy a couple weeks ago and as a present, she asked her parents for a Lumiere Portrait session. We had a wonderful afternoon playing dress up. Claire had said she wanted her portraits to be pretty casual, but I managed to convince her that doing a few theatrical and glamorous shots would be fun too. She was amazing and an absolute pleasure to photograph and to be around. Claire you are just delightful! Thank you for a truly magical shoot!!!
