Looking Back at a Year of Love

Every year, around Valentine's Day, I take a moment to reflect on how incredibly lucky I am. My job is to photograph love. At the end of every photo shoot my cheeks hurt from smiling - I get to watch children laugh, mother's breathe in the smell of their tiny babies, couples stand before their friends and family and pledge their lives to each other, kisses, cuddles, and infectious happiness. I forget sometimes how truly important it is. These moments are what really matter in life, and I am honoured to be a part of them. So I'd like to say thank you to everyone who invited me to be a part of their lives, it has been another wonderful year of capturing your love.

With Valentine's Day just ten days away, I thought it would be a nice idea to offer a special on my Lovebirds sessions.
Whether you've been together for 5 months or 50 years, the Lovebirds session is a chance to spend precious, uninterrupted time together; for you to focus only on each other and for me to capture the love and honest communication between you, creating beautiful, authentic images that document genuine moments of tenderness and joy.

I have long been fascinated by love – how completely mysterious and intangible it is. How it grows, how it changes, how it waxes and wanes, how it appears and how it can slip away. Everyday I photograph love and am in awe of it’s infinite forms.

A Lovely Gift...

With Valentine's just a month away, why not give your loved one a lasting gift... I have so enjoyed doing these Lumiere portraits - be they sweet or saucy, delicate or dramatic, in a Chanel suit or your birthday suit, it is a wonderful opportunity to play... 

I took some portraits a few weeks ago and on her Facebook page she said - "Because every girl needs the magical Amanda Temple in their life! When I am rushing in and out of school, half dressed, hair pulled back, yesterday's mascara smudged across my cheek and Belle's breakfast somewhere on my top, this is what I will be imagining I look like!"

 It made me happy that she was so thrilled with her photos. So that is my goal, to make women feel beautiful and to capture that feeling...
