This was the family's second visit to Bermuda, but the first with in-laws and a grandchild. Meghan and Jason had given Jason's parents a portrait session for Christmas and Tom and Margaret decided they'd like to have the photos taken in Bermuda. Their visit also coincided with Kayla's first birthday, so the family had another reason to celebrate. They love to explore and as they had not been to Stonehole Bay on their last visit, it was a perfect place for the session. They enjoyed it so much though, that they returned later in the week to snorkel and relax. Thank you for a lovely shoot, I hope you all had a wonderful holiday...

Marisa & Rich: Bermuda Wedding
Marisa had visited Elbow Beach in 2002 and fell in love with the hotel and the beach and knew that one day she wanted to get married there. She and Rich did not meet until 2005, and luckily, Rich also thought a Bermuda wedding would be perfect. And perfect it was...
Marisa's Lazaro dress was divine - I am a huge fan of coloured gowns as they seem to photograph better in Bermuda's bright sunshine. They had their ceremony at St Michael's church across the street from the hotel, then all took the little train back. Cocktails were on the terrace overlooking the ocean, then supper at was on the beach Mickey's so guests could have their feet in the sand, yet still be at an elegant reception. As it grew dark, they enjoyed after dinner drinks and cigars lounging on the beach chairs as the kids played in the sand. And at dark, Marisa had arranged a surprise for everyone - each guest was given a paper lantern, and asked to make a wish as they set their lantern into the sky. I had actually finished shooting by then, but was having dinner with a friend at the restaurant above the beach, so watched from afar as they floated away. It really was absolutely beautiful - thank you for such a lovely evening...
