Happy 80th birthday!

Lorna was celebrating her 80th birthday. Her daughters, Cybele, Natasha and Chantal, decided that a shoot of the four of them together would be a wonderful way to commemorate this monumentous occasion. Photographing these beautiful women was an absolute pleasure - thank you all for a magical evening and I hope you had a splendid birthday!

Devon and Matt Tie the Knot

"As Matt and I love to travel, when we first got engaged in Tulum, Mexico, we both knew we wanted to celebrate our wedding somewhere other than our beloved NYC. While we both love the bustle and energy of New York, we wanted our celebration to be an intimate and relaxed event. Although many of our favorite locals were contenders, Bermuda was our clear front runner. My parents had lived here for several years, in Devonshire, and I was lucky enough to be born here and bear it's name. Although my parents moved back to The States, which is where I grew up, my sister and her husband moved here several years ago, and were also lucky enough to have their daughter be born here. It has been a privilege to be able to spend so much time here with my family and for Matt to be able to develop his own love of the island.
One of my most memorable trips back to Bermuda included a fish sandwich at Art Mel's followed by a visit to the Unfinished Church. A site so beautiful that it became engrained in my memory for years. So when Matt asked me to marry him and Bermuda became our top choice, we knew this would be the perfect venue! The dramatic and historic nature of the space, contrasted against the bright blue sky served as the perfect backdrop for our nuptials.
Following our vows, we were whisked away in a classic Branford. We arrived at The Loren for our reception, and descended down the incredible candle lit staircase, to join our guests for cocktails on The Disc. We enjoyed a stunning sunset, listening to Pancho and his steel pan serenade us and we took in this wonderful moment. Eventually we ventured upstairs to the rooftop for an unforgettable meal and wine pairing. As the colors of the island are so breathtaking, we chose to focus on highlighting this with simple details, such as candles, accented with classic and sophisticated florals. I loved the idea of a table full of flickering lights with elegant orchids strewn leisurely.

For dessert, we enjoyed a coconut cake, that had been carefully hand carried by one of our guests from the Peninsula Hotel in Charleston."
Thank you both for the honour of capturing your magical wedding! As we walked back to the car, my cheeks were hurting from smiling so much and Laura, my fabulous assistant, said that of all the weddings she has helped me with yours was one of her favourites. I am inclined to agree, so thank you for such a wonderful day!
