Jump for Joy

On the day of their family portrait Caroline was not a happy camper. She was mortified that the beach was so busy and felt silly that her family were wearing matching outfits. But about halfway into our shoot she was literally jumping for joy. And she was twirling and doing cart wheels! And when I spoke to her mother a couple weeks later she said that Caroline had said that the highlight of their entire vacation had been the hour that she spent with me. Wow! I was so happy that I had managed to turn something she dreaded into an experience that was the favourite part of her holiday in Bermuda. I really do strive to make every shoot fun and to capture lasting memories that families will treasure, so it was amazing to hear that I had succeeded.

Step Afrika - 2016 Bermuda Festival

The 2016 Bermuda Festival of The Performing Arts is underway and this morning I stopped by the Step Afrika Outreach at City Hall. The theatre was completely full with students from the island's schools. They were all upstanding and participating in the group's performance. 

The dancers were so full of energy and the performance was amazing! There are a few tickets left for both tonight's and tomorrow night's shows. You can get them here or at the box office.

Here for the Holidays

I spent a lovely afternoon with Tom and Benan, their delightful daughters and adorable newborn son. They were on the island for the holidays and now that they are five thought it would be the perfect time to capture some family portraits. The girls giggled as they led me to their favourite spots in the garden and their teeny brother slept through it all but woke up in the last few minutes of our shoot to reveal his beautiful baby blue eyes.
