It was a perfect afternoon for a wander through their neighbourhood. As they often walk together along these narrow winding lanes, they decided it would be the perfect spot for a family photo. Thank you for a lovely afternoon...

A Lovely Gift...
With Valentine's just a month away, why not give your loved one a lasting gift... I have so enjoyed doing these Lumiere portraits - be they sweet or saucy, delicate or dramatic, in a Chanel suit or your birthday suit, it is a wonderful opportunity to play...
I took some portraits a few weeks ago and on her Facebook page she said - "Because every girl needs the magical Amanda Temple in their life! When I am rushing in and out of school, half dressed, hair pulled back, yesterday's mascara smudged across my cheek and Belle's breakfast somewhere on my top, this is what I will be imagining I look like!"
It made me happy that she was so thrilled with her photos. So that is my goal, to make women feel beautiful and to capture that feeling... Below are a few sessions I have done in the past year - If you'd like to do a session - for Valentine's Day - for any other occasion - or for no reason at all - let me know, we can do something wonderful...

Fading Flowers
As you probably know, I am incredibly passionate about flowers and shooting them over the past few months for Petals has brought me such joy. Each week the abundance of fresh flowers around my house makes me so happy. Last week, I left the vase of white flowers and watched them die. Each day I would marvel as they changed little by little; there was an incredibly beauty in their fading. The petals of the hyacinth became translucent and the peonies developed a darkened edge that had been delicately painted by time and the salt air.

Saturday's Eggs...
Since finding Saturday alone and abandoned in the road six months ago, I have been saying that I can't wait until the day I can have fresh eggs for breakfast. Well she gave me a belated Christmas present - on boxing day, following a rather traumatic few hours of worried clucking and frenzied wandering through the house, she laid her first egg. It was so tiny it made me so happy, but the thought of actually eating it was totally horrible. I had a strange emotional attachment to them - they are so perfect and warm and are her babies - yes I know it is not a baby really, it has not been fertilised, blah, blah, blah, but I could just not bring myself to eat them. I gave two away and received a thank you note last Saturday saying they were the most delicious Saturday breakfast - pun intended I assume.
Well, today I broke down - the carton was full and I decided that it would be even worse for them to be wasted. And he was right - they were divine - not surprising given her diet. She is totally spoiled - she eats sunflower seeds and blueberries, tuna, quinoa, wild rice and any manner of vegetation and bugs she finds in the garden.
So here they are - her first dozen perfect eggs... thank you Saturday for a yummy breakfast...
